Originally from Yuba City in California, Dr. Brink completed his undergraduate training at UC Davis, then completed his medical degree at the University of Touro in Vallejo. He then went to Chillicothe, Ohio for a medical internship followed by his ophthalmology residency in Dayton, Ohio. While in his ophthalmology residency through Kettering Health Network, he served as the chief resident of the program and succeeded in bringing new surgical instruments to the residency. He has a passion for the newest medical devices, particularly when combined with cataract surgery. He completed his residency with over three times the amount of cataract cases required for graduation. He is well-versed in general ophthalmology with experience in minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries, laser treatments for various disease processes, and medical retina treatments. Dr. Brink has been looking forward to returning to California and feels appreciative to be back. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his fiancée Shelby, running, hiking, swimming, and his favorite sport is racquetball.
